Safian Abiel, 24, fronts Melbourne Magistrates’ Court after alleged attempted Frankston carjacking
An alleged attempted carjacker has been accused of assaulting two women in separate daylight attacks near a car wash in Melbourne’s southeast.

An alleged attempted carjacker has been accused of assaulting two women in separate daylight attacks near a car wash in Melbourne’s southeast.
Safian Abiel, 24, appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday after he was charged with attempted carjacking, unlawfully assaulting two females and resisting an emergency worker.
It’s alleged Mr Abiel tried to steal several cars from the Shiners Jet car wash in Frankston and assaulted multiple women on Thursday.
Mr Abiel allegedly approached a woman who was vacuuming her car, demanding her keys and assaulting her.
The alleged attack was captured by CCTV.
A second woman was also allegedly assaulted at a nearby store and was treated for minor injuries.
Mr Abiel made no application for bail
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on March 24.
