Police raid Kavanagh St, Cheltenham, house in relation to drive-by shootings
Police have seized motorbikes, other vehicles, firearms and ammunition after raiding a Cheltenham house in relation to drive-by shootings in Melbourne’s south. A man and a woman have been charged after the late-night search by detectives.

Two people have been charged after an investigation into drive-by shootings in Melbourne yesterday morning.
Police raided a house on Kavanagh St, Cheltenham, about 11pm last night and arrested a 39-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman.

Victoria Police Leading Senior Constable Melissa Seach said three stolen motorcycles, three vehicles and three firearms, ammunition and firearm parts were seized during searches of the property.
The man has been charged with conduct endangering life, criminal damage, prohibited person possessing a firearm and other firearm-related offences.
The woman has been charged with possessing a drug of dependence, ammunition and handling stolen goods.
Port Phillip and Hobson’s Bay crime investigation unit detectives searched the Cheltenham house after a number of shots were allegedly fired into a car on Grosvenor St, St Kilda, about 1am yesterday. A gold-coloured Toyota Camry was seen fleeing the area.
Shots were also allegedly fired into the garage of a house in Corrigan St, Cheltenham, about 10.30am yesterday.
