Blundering thieves stole a huge trampoline from a garden — despite the tiniest of getaway cars and a half-hour comedy of errors.
CCTV footage of the midnight heist shows the group made no attempt to dismantle the play equipment, using brute force and luck to push it over the fence.
The trio — two men and a woman — then wedge the 3.4m trampoline onto the top of a small hatchback car, realising they’ve covered the windscreen and jammed the doors shut. The driver manages to prise open a door a little and squeeze himself in but the others are left to run behind the car.

Police are scratching their heads as to how the trio managed to pull off the brazen crime and how no one witnessed the caper at The Outlook, Waterways.
The bizarre incident happened on February 10 and seems to have been an impromptu decision by the three thieves.
The crooks were driving along the street and stopped suddenly when they spotted the large springfree trampoline.
They jumped the fence and began to pull down the netted safety barrier. It took about 20 minutes for them to push the trampoline, valued at $2300, over the fence.
The three then wrestled the oversized apparatus onto the roof of the little car and drove off with it unsecured.
Kingston Crime Investigation Unit detective Leading Senior Constable Paul Keen said he was surprised no one saw a tiny car with a trampoline on its roof being driven away at that time of night.
“It was strange that it wasn’t seen by anyone but you never know maybe they lived close by,” he said.
“We’re renewing our call for witnesses in the hope someone may remember a trampoline being driven around.
“They left part of the trampoline at the property so we’re also asking if anyone has come across somebody who has recently acquired an incomplete trampoline.”
He said police were treating the incident seriously despite the “bizarre” nature of the crime.
“It’s not a good thing to steal a trampoline from a family and deprive the kids of their enjoyment,” he said.
“Trampolines get stolen from stores all the time but I’ve never seen one taken from a family’s backyard.”
The Waterways family has since had their stolen trampoline replaced when the manufacturer donated a new one.
