KIDS enjoying the school holidays appear to have been the targets of a sinister plot at a trampoline centre in Altona North.

In what appears to be a deliberate act of sabotage, trampolines in the Airodrome Trampoline Park’s popular Big Green Trampoline area were this week cut from beneath.

“We are working hard to open up half the Big Green Trampolines in the next couple of days and will keep you updated.”

Police believe an unknown number of offenders entered the Grieve Parade centre overnight on Tuesday.

Staff at the Airodrome Trampoline Park on Grieve Parade told 3AW 17 trampolines were damaged earlier in the week.

3AW producer Michael Hilder visited the park with his daughter and was shocked to hear what had happened.

“Upon arrival staff told me to stay away from the green trampoline section,” he said.

“They told me that late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning someone has broken in and committed an act of mass sabotage to the equipment.

“They’ve found a way to climb underneath the trampolines and cut the mats, but where the cuts are, they’ve been designed not to be seen, at the edges.”

Police were investigating on Friday and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
