Mr Meyer was born in New Zealand, where his family resides, but was living in Cheltenham when he disappeared.

His family said he would contact his mother, Andrea, regularly and his dad has been in Melbourne more than a week searching for his son.

Mr Meyer is described as a bit of a hippy and a “funny, caring young man with a gentle heart of gold”.

He normally works in the Victorian or New Zealand snow fields during winter and is a keen skateboarder and snowboarder.

He is aged in his 20s and is about 175-180cm tall, has a slim build, dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

He has two snowflake tattoos on his chest, and another tattoo on his shoulder blade.
