Cheltenham man arrested for alleged $1.2m imported cigarettes stash
A man has been arrested and charged after a massive haul of illegally imported tobacco, including more than 20,000 packets of cigarettes, was found in a police raid.

An alleged $1.2m of illegally imported tobacco has been seized and a man has been arrested following a police raid at a Cheltenham home.
Officers visited the home on Farm Rd about noon on March 21, where they uncovered an alleged stash of more than 20,000 packets of imported cigarettes.
An estimated 4000 e-cigarettes and 22.5kg of loose tobacco was also uncovered in the massive haul.
A 32-year-old Cheltenham man was at the scene at the time of the raid and was arrested.
Kingston police have charged the man with alleged offences including possessing tobacco products with intent to defraud Commonwealth revenue, negligently dealing with proceeds of crime, and unauthorised possession and supply of a schedule 4 poison.
The man has been bailed to appear at Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on June 29.
