Fire rips through abandoned Kionga St home in Clayton
A fire has ripped through an abandoned home in Clayton this morning, with police treating the blaze as suspicious.

An abandoned weatherboard home has gone up in flames following an early-morning fire in Melbourne’s east.
Firefighters rushed to reports of the fire in Kionga St, Clayton about 3.30am after several calls to triple-0, with the house well alight and on the verge of collapse.
A Fire Rescue Victoria spokeswoman said 10 units attended the scene and managed to contain the fire to the front of the single-storey home.
The fire was brought under control within 22 minutes and no one was inside the home or injured in the incident.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious and an arson chemist will visit the scene to conduct investigations later today.
