An iconic church is one of three properties up for sale in an exclusive part of Canterbury known as the ‘Golden Mile’.
The “incredibly rare” offering on 2 Mont Albert Rd is made up of three distinct properties including an iconic church and a site marked for redevelopment.
The property is being offered as a whole package although there will be opportunities to buy separately.
The site totals 3646sq m and the three properties are spread across five separate titles.
The St David’s Centre church holds weekly Sunday services at 10am and is a renowned wedding venue.
The offering is located minutes from elite private schools Camberwell Girls Grammar and Camberwell Grammar, and is nearby to a range of other schools.
The ‘Golden Mile’ is the stretch of Canterbury along Mont Albert Rd between Burke and Balwyn Roads, known for its large, century old oak trees and mansions.
The area has been home to many notable politicians, business leaders and celebrities such as former Victorian premier Sir Rupert “Dick” Hamer and former liberal leader Andrew Peacock.
In December 2023 a 118-year-old heritage listed mansion on the ‘Golden Mile’ called Shenley Croft went up in flames in what police believe was a suspicious fire.
