Three men have been charged with trafficking heroin after a police crackdown in Richmond.

Melbourne divisional response unit officers charged the men on Monday, August 23, during an operation investigating drug trafficking in the area.

A St Albans man, 35, has been charged with trafficking heroin, possess heroin, deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime and negligently deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime.

A Clayton South man, 42, has been charged with trafficking heroin, possess heroin, deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime and commit indictable offence while on bail.

A Richmond man, 49, has been charged with trafficking heroin.

All three men were also charged with breaching the directions of the Chief Health Officer.

They were held in custody to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
