Police seize $250,000 of heroin in major Richmond drug trafficking bust
Six people have been arrested after detectives smashed a major inner city suburbs drug trafficking ring and seized hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cash, heroin, cocaine, cannabis and MDMA.

Detectives have smashed a major inner suburbs drug trafficking ring and seized hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cash and heroin.
The two-month investigation culminated on Wednesday when police raided six properties in Brunswick, Richmond, Docklands, Sunshine West and the CBD.
Two women were arrested at a home in Lorimer St, Docklands when police raided the first property about 5.45pm.
That led detectives to five other properties across Melbourne where four others were arrested and 700g of heroin with a street value of $250,000 was allegedly uncovered.
Sergeant Julie-Anne Newman said police also seized more than $130,000 in cash, as well as quantities of cannabis, MDMA and what is believed to be cocaine.
Two Richmond women, aged 32 and 34, were both charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of heroin and dealing with proceeds of crime.
Both were remanded to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
A Sunshine West woman, 47, was charged with possessing cocaine, MDMA and possessing the proceeds of crime.
A Brunswick West man, 37, was charged with trafficking heroin and two counts of possessing a prohibited weapon.
A Melbourne man, 31, was charged with possessing heroin, while a St Albans man, 35, was charged with possessing methamphetamine.
All were bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on October 8.
Police said the drug trafficking investigation was ongoing.
