Mount Waverley collision leaves motorbike rider dead

A crash in Mount Waverley at the intersection of Huntingdale Rd and Melinga Crescent has claimed the life of a motorbike rider on Thursday morning.

A man has died after a horror collision in Mount Waverley on Thursday morning.

The incident happened about 7.50am when he was travelling on a motorbike and collided with a car at the intersection of Huntingdale Rd and Melinga Crescent.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene but unfortunately couldn’t be saved due to the injuries he suffered in the collision.

A 52-year-old man from Doncaster, who was driving the car, stopped at the scene.

Police remain on scene as they work to establish the exact circumstances around the collision which takes 2020s road toll to 117 compared with 156 at the same time last year.
