A Melbourne fiend who swapped vile child abuse material with an HIV-infected pedophile and fantasised about having a son he and his twisted mate could “rape” has been jailed.

Thomas Donaldson, 28, was sentenced in the County Court on Friday to an immediate 15-month jail term after pleading guilty to multiple transmitting child abuse material charges.

Donaldson’s vile offending was detected after police arrested South Australian pedophile Jadd Brooker in August, 2020.

Donaldson, a former H&M Melbourne manager, committed his lewd offending in Essendon and Ivanhoe between November 2017 and February last year.

Investigators established Donaldson had shared child abuse material with Brooker via Facebook and messaging app Telegram between November 2017 and August 2019.

Australian Federal Police raided Donaldson’s home where he was arrested on February 17 last year.

Police seized a laptop and mobile phone which contained almost 50 Telegram child abuse material chats.

Donaldson was also prominent in three child abuse material group message threads titled

‘Super Perv Bros’, ‘N***** hate and pedo and ‘Dirty dirty chat’.

Donaldson and Brooker also discussed a sick story about having a son and sexually abusing him.

A transcript of the disgusting conversation was presented to the court.

“I want you to touch me all over while you kiss me and call me a pedo,” Donaldson said.

“Mmmmm. Dirty boy,” Brooker said.

“I’m your dirty boy I can’t wait to have an equally dirty kid with you,” Donaldson said.

“We will find one,” Brooker said.

Brooker often sent Donaldson lewd and vile child abuse images and videos which the twisted pair discussed.

Donaldson also posted a story online about a person he met on Grindr who he was “persuading into kids”.

“He is being resistant but I can tell he’s really f**king into it …,” Donaldson said.

“He keeps dropping his age range … I’ve got him down to 7”.

Donaldson, who regularly discussed raping and murdering children, also described “infecting” children with HIV, the court heard.

“Mmmm yes give me aids Then we will rape babies poz,” Donaldson said.

“Oh f**k yeah daddy we will snuff them!!

“Let’s get filthy and wet!!! I want to be poz and full of sexy STDs and rape some kids with you …

“I want to give as many people aids as I can!!”

Donaldson also shared vile material including men raping male children, the court was told.

Donaldson told police he had accessed and transmitted child abuse material via various Telegram chats since 2016.

Donaldson also told police he was “introduced” to child abuse material “around the time” he first met Brooker in 2016.

Donaldson told police he watched vile child abuse material on TV with Brooker while at the fiend’s house.

The court heard Donaldson grew up “loved and supported” in a “middle-class childhood” which had its “challenges”.

“(Donaldson’s) offending is completely outside the moral framework within which he was raised,” the defence submitted.

Donaldson worked various jobs including a long stint during the offending period at H&M Melbourne after graduating high school.

Donaldson, who the court heard was “intelligent”, moved back in with mum and dad after his offending was exposed.

The fiend’s courtroom demeanour dipped dramatically this week after Judge Phillip Coish said a period of immediate imprisonment was appropriate.

Donaldson, who was made registered sex offender for life, was sentenced to two years and six months’ jail but will be released onto a two-year good behaviour bond after serving 15 months.
