An Armadale wine bar which prided itself on its homely atmosphere and having more than 160 drops available has closed for good.
Wine 1160, located on High St in Armadale, is listed as ‘permanently closed’ on its Google listing and its parent company filed for liquidation last month.

According to ASIC documents, directors of The Storyteller Pty Ltd, trading as Wine 1160, decided to wind up the company on July 10, with Delloitte’s Robert Woods appointed as liquidator.
Wine 1160 opened in early 2017 and was billed as “a snug hideaway on High St” and “a destination wine bar that feels like home”.
It also promised “true hospitality as we share the stories behind our wines, dishes and people”.
Owner Prabir Majumdar compiled a 160-bottle list of traditional and new-age wines, but also had spirits and beers on tap.
It also had a matching food menu for the wines which had items including fried zucchini flowers, potato gnocchi, grass-fed steak, a dark chocolate mousse and various sorbets.
The bar last posted on its Facebook and Instagram pages in February, while its phone number is disconnected and its website has been removed.
Deloitte has been contacted for comment.
