Ethan Merlin and Danny Ibrahim charged with drug trafficking

Two men have been charged with drug trafficking after police raids allegedly uncovered drugs, pill presses and numerous luxury items.

Ethan Merlin, 23, is accused of trafficking meth and cocaine.

Two men have been accused of drug trafficking after they were allegedly nabbed following raids by the Major Drug Squad.

Danny Ibrahim, 38, and Ethan Merlin, 23, faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday after they were charged by police on November 13, 2023.

It is alleged Mr Merlin trafficked meth and cocaine between November 17 and December 7 2022, while Mr Ibrahim is accused of dealing cocaine in the same time frame.

Mr Ibrahim has also been charged with possessing two pill presses, two stainless steel fittings and multiple cutting agents used to traffick drugs of dependence.

Following a raid on Ibrahim’s Richmond home, police also allegedly seized $7625, a Rolex Watch valued at $27,700, another Rolex Watch valued at $57,900, three Cartier bracelets, a BVLGARI ring and a Van Cleef bracelet valued at $95,050.

Mr Ibrahim has been charged with dealing with proceeds of crime and dealing with property suspected of being proceeds of crime.

He was also allegedly busted in possession of steroids and Viagra.

The duo have been charged with drug trafficking.

Mr Merlin was allegedly busted in possession of cannabis, cocaine and meth following a raid on his Sunshine home.

Police also allegedly seized $28,100 in cash and notable drug equipment known to produce drugs of dependence from Mr Merlin’s property.

He was also charged with dealing with proceeds of crime and dealing with property suspected of being proceeds of crime.

The matter was adjourned by Magistrate Leon Fluxman and both men will next front court on April 17.
