A motorcycle rider has died after they hit a cow on a Benalla road on Sunday morning.
Police are investigating the fatal crash which occurred about 9.45am.
It is understood the motorcycle rider was travelling on Lake Mokoan Rd when it hit the cow.
The 77-year-old Wangaratta rider died at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
