Victim of horrific collision Tayla Barber remembered by grieving Shepparton community
The victim of a tragic single vehicle crash in the state’s north was due to sit her final VCE exam this week and has been remembered as a kind-hearted and confident young woman.

The young woman killed in a horrific single vehicle crash at Euroa was about to finish her VCE exams when the tragedy happened.
Tayla Barber, 18, has been remembered as a beautiful and kind young lady who was never afraid to voice her opinions or express her feelings.
Tayla attended Notre Dame College in Shepparton, which put out a statement honouring the year 12 student.
“(Tayla was a) Confident, respectful, and kind-hearted young woman who would never shy away from voicing her thoughts and feelings aloud.”
Friend Leah Phillips said Tayla was a “beautiful young person”.
“I feel grateful and privileged to have Tayla for the majority of her secondary years,” Leah said.
“To watch her grow in confidence and maturity was a blessing.
“She was a fair, kind, helpful and beautiful young person that cared for all her friends and especially those in MA from the beginning.
“Always willing to put her hand up and have a go, encouraging and supporting those around her”.
It’s understood the car crashed into a tree on the Euroa-Mansfield Rd about 4pm on Saturday, November 4.
Tayla was flown to hospital where she later died.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
The Victorian road toll now sits at 251, with 50 of those deaths occurring in the Goulburn Valley region.
