A Shepparton teenager has been charged after he allegedly assaulted a young father in the early hours of Sunday morning.
It is alleged that a physical altercation broke out between Mitchell Rowley and Beau Foster at a Shepparton nightclub on High St at 3am on May 26.
The alleged fight resulted in Mr Foster being transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with life-threatening injuries, while Mr Rowley was not injured.
Mr Foster, 36, is currently in an induced coma but his condition has been downgraded from critical to stable.
Mr Rowley will face Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on August 19 charged with recklessly causing serious injury, recklessly causing injury, common assault and unlawful assault.
A GoFundMe has been set up to raise money for Mr Foster and his family.
