Friends and family will pay tribute to two young musicians who died this week at a memorial in the state’s north on Thursday night.

The memorial will be held at Wanganui Oval at 6.30pm to farewell Ethan Sfetcopoulos, 19, and Sawandeep Singh Chhokar, 20, who were found dead in a Shepparton North home on Monday morning.

Police are not treating their deaths as suspicious.

Those who attend have been asked to wear a mask, social distance and not attend if they are feeling unwell.

Friends say the pair were good friends who “would do anything for anyone”.

Ethan and Swan, as he was affectionately known, loved music and forged many friendships across the Goulburn Valley.

Holding back tears, local musician and close friend Yungkily Jons, told The Goulburn Valley Newsthe young men helped him start his own career.

“The world has lost two beautiful souls and we’re all struggling to come to terms with it,” he said.

“They were always encouraging me with my music by providing me feedback. It was something they did for everyone.

“Ethan and Swan were always spreading their love, I’m sure whoever met them would have been touched.

“We all dreamt of making music together because we wanted to bring Shepparton to the world.

“I was proud to have called them my friends.”

Patrick Choudhary, another friend, said Ethan and Swan were “kings”.

“Thanks for being there with me when I was going through some of the hardest parts of my life,” he said on social media.

“Heartbroken that I won’t be able to share another (memory) with both of you.

“Love you, boys, rest in paradise.”

Mr Jons said the trio were able to connect with their friends on a personal level, giving up time to check on others.

“If you needed someone to listen, Ethan and Swan were the best people,” he said.

“When I was at my lowest they helped lift me up.”

Mr Jons said he met Ethan at a park while playing soccer and they had become good friends.

“We used to play on opposite teams,” he recalled.

“When I first came to Shepparton a few years ago he was one of the first people who really helped me settle in and I’ll always be thankful especially when English wasn’t my first language.”

In a social media post, another friend of the pair, Tyson Cameron, paid tribute to his “little brother” Swan.

“You were a kind-hearted kid who meant no harm and was struggling with demons,” he said.

“I remember teaching you how to make beats and how passionate you got with it, made me happy when you were spreading positivity.

“I am glad I was able to talk you through what you were going through, I am thankful for the times we had hanging out making beats and just talking about life.

“You were like a little brother to me, I remember how excited you got about making music and how much of a positive impact it had on you.”
