Aaron Heffernan and Callum Savio were part of a trio of men arrested Tuesday in relation to a string of alleged commercial and residential burglaries.

During raids at properties in Shepparton and Werribee on Monday, police found 80g of methylamphetamine, 3L of GHB, $48,000, an assortment of power tools valued in excess of $100,000, and allegedly stolen trailers, motorbikes, home appliances and building supplies.

Both Mr Heffernan and Mr Savio are facing charges of drug trafficking, possession, handling stolen goods, burglary and theft.

A third co-accused’s — a Werribee man — matters were heard separately.

He is not facing the trafficking charges.

Mr Heffernan was represented by Michael Amad.

Mr Savio’s lawyer Ian Michaelson told the court his client suffered from anxiety.

However, Magistrate Victoria Campbell said that was “what methamphetamine does to you”.

Neither lawyer applied for bail for their clients.

Ms Campbell remanded Mr Heffernan and Mr Savio to appear before the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on May 14 for a committal mention.
