A Strathmerton man who drove his unlicensed motorbike through his neighbours’ fence then dropped his strides and mooned them, a court has heard.
Timothy Price, 65, pleaded guilty at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court to numerous charges including behaving in an offensive manner in a public place.
The court heard that Price drove his motorcycle through his neighbours’ fence, before “ranting about past occurrences”.
Price had been in an ongoing dispute with his neighbours, the court head
Price then made his way up the street on the bike, before “bending over and exposing his anus and scrotum to the neighbours in an offensive manner”.
When interviewed by police, Price told them “he could not remember the incident”.
Price’s lawyer admitted he behaved in “a very poor way” and also said he hadn’t got along with police in “a very long time”.
Magistrate Anne Goldsborough said she wanted to find a point of difference for Price, that would deter him and others from such behaviour.
“Resolving it (the dispute) in this way is unacceptable and offensive,” she said.
Ms Goldsborough imposed aggregate fines totalling $1500 for the charges, while also encouraging Price to visit his GP and accept any reference for personal counselling.
Price stated that he had very little success in dealing with his mental health.
“I have attempted it… I’ve had very little satisfaction out of it,” he said,
Price said he hoped to relocate to Port Lincoln, South Australia in an attempt to get away from the disputes that have plagued him throughout his time in Strathmerton.
Price grew up in Western Australia before attending Melbourne University’s Dookie College where he studied agriculture.
He purchased his property in Strathmerton due to his love of rural land, and had lived in the area for 20 years.
