Myrtleford’s Alexander Brown charged over alleged shooting in Wangaratta
A Myrtleford man charged with shooting another man in the state’s northeast has faced court.

A Myrtleford man alleged to have shot another man in the state’s northeast last week has briefly faced court.
Alexander Brown, 26, faced a filing hearing at Myrtleford Magistrates’ Court on charges including armed robbery, intentionally causing serious injury, reckless conduct endangering life, theft of motor vehicle, prohibited person possess firearm, possession drug of dependence and traffic drug of dependence.
Police will allege a 40-year-old victim attended Wangaratta hospital last Friday about 3.30pm with a suspected gunshot wound to his upper body.
Authorities executed a search warrant at a Myrtleford property where they seized ammunition, a firearm and a quantity of drugs.
Brown was remanded in custody until January 13 when he will face a committal mention hearing.
A hand-up brief must be served to the defence by December 2.
