A collision between a car and a truck near Cobram has killed a motorist following a horror long weekend on Goulburn Valley roads.

A motorist has died after colliding with a truck near Cobram.
It is understood a truck and a car collided on the Goulburn Valley Hwy at Koonoomoo at 6pm on Melbourne Cup day.
The male driver of the truck stopped at the scene and was not physically injured and police will investigate the collision.
It comes after two fatal collisions near Euroa this weekend.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
