Echuca man charged following fatal crash
A man has been charged in the wake of the fatal collision in Echuca that resulted in the deaths of an 11-year-old boy and a 26-year-old woman.

An Echuca man has been charged in relation to the fatal collision in Echuca on Sunday.
Police allege a vehicle travelling along the Murray Valley Highway near Echuca left the road and struck a tree near Mt Terrick Road just after 12.30pm on Sunday.
There were three people inside the car which burst into flames soon after the crash.
A 26-year-old Moama woman died at the scene.
An 11-year-old Echuca boy was treated at the scene but died as a result of his injuries.
The driver, a 23-year-old Echuca man, Jake Cartledge, was flown to hospital and has now been charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death.
He will appear at the Echuca Magistrates’ Court on January 23.
The road toll for 2024 currently sits at 10.
