A Shepparton man is accused of a crime spree across the city where he allegedly fired his gun and committed an armed robbery just months after he allegedly resisted police arrest.

Timothy Atkinson, 26, fronted the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on October 8 after he allegedly held a man up with a gun earlier this year.

On March 1, Mr Atkinson, is accused of firing a gun which endangered the lives of the public during a crime spree.

Mr Atkinson, who appeared via video link from Port Phillip Prison, has been charged with armed robbery, intentionally causing injury, using a firearm in a dangerous manner, and placing people in danger of death while using his gun.

The alleged crime spree occurred just months after three police officers attempted to arrest Mr Atkinson on dealing with proceeds of crime and being in possession of stolen goods charges, when he allegedly resisted arrest with a hammer.

He will next face court on both matters on December 12, where three witnesses are set to be cross-examined.
