Two Numurkah men have been charged after they allegedly broke into a person’s house and assaulted them on Grand Final day.
Robert Gibbons, 27, and Trent Lowrie, 28, fronted the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on October 7 for a brief filing hearing.
It is alleged both Mr Gibbons and Mr Lowrie entered a Numurkah home on September 28 as trespassers, before allegedly assaulting the person inside.
They have been charged with intentionally causing injury.
The duo have also been charged with damaging property after allegedly destroying the door belonging to the alleged victim.
The men were charged by Wangaratta Crime Investigation Unit detectives on September 29.
Both Mr Gibbons and Mr Lowrie had their bail extended and will face a committal mention on January 8.
