84-year-old man dies in Trawool incident

A report will be prepared for the coroner after an elderly man died on a Goulburn Valley property on Tuesday.
Police were called to the scene on the Goulburn Valley Highway in Trawool, about 113km from Melbourne, at 5.10pm on Melbourne Cup Day.
An 84-year-old man died at the scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious. It is believed he may have been struck by a falling branch.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics had also attended the scene in support of police.
The man’s cause of death is yet to be determined and details will be released in the coming weeks.
