Glen Iris: Gatis St man arrested after $150K allegedly stolen bobcat, tip-truck found
A man who was being checked for firearms has been arrested after officers made another discovery at his home, with two bulky allegedly stolen vehicles seized.

A Glen Iris man who was the subject of a firearms prohibition check has been arrested after an allegedly stolen tip-truck and bobcat were found at his home.
Members of Victoria Police’s VIPER taskforce visited the man in Gatis St about 4pm on December 16 to do a check on the 43-year-old man and ensure he wasn’t in posession of any firearms.
While officers didn’t find any firearms at the home, in a further search, they found an allegedly stolen tip-truck and a bobcat, with a combined value of more than $150,000.
They also allegedly located a vial of anobic steroids and a stolen credit card.
All the items were seized, and the man was arrested by officers and taken into custody.
He has since been charged with car theft, handling stolen goods, posessing a drug of dependence, unlawful posession and other offences.
The man was remanded to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
