Forest Rd The Basin: Woman in her 30s rescued after car rolls in driveway

Emergency services have rushed to a home in The Basin after reports a car had rolled on a steep driveway, with a person trapped inside.

A person is being treated by paramedics following a dramatic rescue in a driveway in The Basin.

The Basin CFA shared details and pictures of the incident on Forest Rd on its Facebook page at 12.12pm, with one image showing a car lodged partially on its side up a driveway.

Firefighters, police, paramedics and SES volunteers attended the scene.

A Fire Rescue Victoria spokeswoman said more than 14 of its firefighters were called to the incident at 11.25am following reports a car had rolled.

They arrived to find a car had gone over a steep embankment and one person needed to be removed.

The person inside, believed to be a woman in her 30s, was freed by emergency services workers and passed on to paramedics for treatment, but did not need to be taken to hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the cause of the incident are unknown.
