The Fish & Burger Co in Doncaster reopens after renovations
Flash flooding may have lashed the city in the past 36 hours but the mercury is set to hit 27 tomorrow and a popular Doncaster restaurant is making the most of its reopening by offering $2 gelato scoops. Here’s where to find the goods.

A popular Doncaster restaurant is reopening after extensive renovations, with diners invited to check out its new gelato and shake bar.
After securing the building next door, the team from The Fish & Burger Co. knocked down the dividing wall and have doubled the restaurant’s capacity to now cater for 100 customers, with an extra 18 outdoor seats and extended frontage along Doncaster Rd.

Owner Andrew Ibrahim said since 2015 they had amassed a cult following with customers coming from all over the city and as a result most nights were at capacity.
“Securing next door gave us an opportunity to not only expand our seating but offerings too,” he said.
“With the new gelato and shake bar you can come in for a meal and dessert all in the one place, or pop in with the kids after school for gelato.”
The addition of the gelato and shake bar, featuring mostly gluten-free gelato and all vegan sorbet, highlights Mr Ibrahim’s passion for finding the best quality products.
The new menu will feature The Fish & Burger Co.’s signature burgers and seafood dishes, and new additions including panko crumbed prawn sliders, kale and roasted sesame salad, loaded fries and Mr Truffles chicken and beef burger complete with truffle mayo.
To celebrate the grand opening on Saturday December 15, The Fish & Burger Co will be offering $2 gelato scoops from 12pm to 3pm until stocks last.
The restaurant is at 1001 Doncaster Rd.
