And, if his Round 1 performance is anything to go by, he is set for a prolific Sub-District Cricket season.

The talented all-rounder has shown glimpses of his immense talent in recent seasons but a matchwinning display of 110 and 3-75 in the four-wicket win over Balwyn suggests he will be a force in 2018-19.
“It’s been a while since I’ve made a few runs and contributed well to the team,” Sugumar said.
“Hopefully this is the start of a bigger and better thing to come.
“I’ve shown glimpses and things like that but I’m at a point now where I probably need to start performing and really repay the faith of Bayswater for showing me some support through tough periods with the bat and ball.”
A total of 631 runs were hit across two days at Bayswater Oval, with the home side reeling in what is believed to be a record run chase for the club.
Needing 316 for victory, Bayswater achieved the target with eight overs to spare four wickets up its sleeve.
Sugumar and former captain Ben Osborne put on 147 for the fourth wicket, both striking at a decent clip.
Osborne fell one run short of his century, removed for 99 from just 88 deliveries, hitting 15 fours and 2 sixes.
Sugumar crunched 13 fours in his 125-ball stay.
“It was a pretty flat wicket and the ground was really fast,” Sugumar said.
“It was just one of those days where if they bowled it somewhere, and as much as there were a few French cuts here and there, it was one of those days where everything seemed to come off.
“The wicket held up really well, it broke apart a little bit as you’d expect, but we probably could have played another day on it almost.”
Jackson Ellingworth broke the partnership when he had Sugumar caught by Steve Duckworth, and followed up by removing Osborne and John Salter (0) to have Bayswater 6-267.
But Josh Hudson (26) and captain Blair Allan (24) snuffed out any thoughts the Tigers had at victory, finishing with a 49-run partnership to seal the win.
