The Sacred Heart Mission and the Salvos have announced the reopening of a number of op shops as bargain hunters head back to the shops in big numbers.
Sacred Heart said last Friday on Instagram its Chapel St and Commercial Rd stores in Prahran would reopen with more stores expected to follow.
“We’re slowly opening our stores and would absolutely love the good quality donations you’ve been storing away during isolation time,” the post said.
Following the reopening of 78 stores around the country last week, the Salvos announced it would reopen another 64 stores from today, including Malvern, Frankston and Somerville.
A line of customers waited to get into the reopened Abbotsford store last week as staff ensured the number of people inside did not exceed social distancing limits.
All customers had access to hand sanitiser before they entered.

STORES COMING OUT OF COVID-19 LOCKDOWN
Salvos Stores national director Matt Davis said since announcing the reopening of some stores, the Salvos team had been overwhelmed by support and words of encouragement from customers.
“We have loved welcoming you back into these stores, and are thrilled to be able to do this is a way that ensures that our community remains safe,” Mr Davis said.
Brand Smart Premium Outlet Nunawading has also announced more stores have reopened their doors at the centre, including Bed Bath N’ Table, Gazman, Black Pepper and Decjuba.
