Police arrest two men in stolen Mercedes at Endeavour Hills after aggravated burglary at Marshall Av, Clayton

A duo who allegedly forced entry into a Melbourne home demanding car keys before assaulting an occupant were followed by the police helicopter ahead of their arrest overnight.

A duo who allegedly broke into a home, assaulted the occupant, and stole a Mercedes were followed from the skies before their arrest in Melbourne’s east.

Two Dandenong men, aged 19 and 23, allegedly forced entry to a Clayton home about 12.45am Monday and demanded car keys before allegedly assaulting one of the occupants.

The pair then allegedly fled the Marshall Av address in a stolen Mercedes which police first spotted in the company of an alleged stolen Ford hatch on Gladstone Rd, Dandenong.

The cars were followed on the Monash Fwy by Air Wing before they parted ways.

The Mercedes was seen coming to stop at Aldridge St, Endeavour Hills before two people exited the vehicle.

Police, including the Dog Squad, established a perimeter before two men were arrested in Cardigan St about 1.20am.

The pair are assisting police with their investigation.
