New summer pop-up bar ‘The Backyard’ lands at Eastland town square, Ringwood

A new watering hole serving up burgers, plenty of beer and live music is set to open at Eastland in time for summer.
The Backyard will serve its first drinks on Friday afternoon in its courtyard, located at the Eastland town square.
The courtyard’s walls are covered with vibrant street art, making the perfect backdrop for sipping a summer bevvie and listening to music from local artists and DJs.
The summer pop-up is a collaboration between The Suburban and Mountain Culture Beer Co.
There will be 10 taps of Mountain Culture beer, local wines, cocktails and classic burgers.
The Suburban director, Andy Croucher, said he was “pumped” to show off the outdoor space.
“This world-class street art has been largely unseen.,” he said.
“To partner with Mountain Culture, one of the best breweries in Australia, is also very exciting for us at The Suburban.”
Co-founder of Mountain Culture Brewing Co, DJ McCready said the venue would play host to plenty of events over the summer.
“We’ve had an epic and longstanding relationship with The Suburban for a few years now
because we’re aligned on our vision to bring really good beer to the people,” he said.
“It’s been awesome seeing beer lovers in Melbourne embrace Mountain Culture, and we’re
looking forward to hosting some really cool events from November.”
