Another high-rise boutique hotel could be on the way for Box Hill’s centre, featuring a glass sky lounge and restaurant about 50m above the ground.
The 16-storey tower would be built just 300m from Box Hill Central at 702-706 Station St, Box Hill, with a public thoroughfare from Station St to Paynes Lane on the ground floor.

Poly Holdings has submitted the plans to Whitehorse Council — less than 14 months after boutique hotel chain The Chen opened a hotel, also a few hundred metres from Box Hill Central, with sweeping views from its 26-storey rooftop.
The new hotel would soar 56m, and include 187 hotel rooms, entertainment and retail space.
A karaoke bar and spa, including thermal bathing, would be located under the building, along with 115 car parks and 40 bike spaces.
A sky lounge bar would be set up on level 14, with party rooms and a garden terrace above on level 15, and a garden conservatory.
Three commercial two-storey businesses are currently on the site.
