A man desperate for people to stop treating a Whitehorse park as a toilet has used homemade signs to share his disgust.
Andrew, who didn’t want his surname published, printed the signs in four different languages and posted them around Davy Lane Reserve Forest Hill.
“Disgusting!” and “PIGS!” is written across the A4 signs, which plead for the poo perpetrators to bury their waste, or better yet — use a toilet.
The signs’ message begins, “Attention primitive peasants!”
“If you don’t have the education nor culture to sh*t in a toilet, then at least, could you bury it so our dogs don’t eat it!!!!”
“This is Australia! We have toilets!
“Go home and use them!”
The text is first printed in English, followed by Mandarin, Cantonese and Vietnamese.
It’s not the first time Andrew has posted signs around Davy Lane Reserve.
But the messages have previously been as restrained as, “Do not defecate here! It is a public park!” and also printed in several languages.
Andrew is one of the park regulars who have been finding human faeces — often accompanied by used toilet paper — in the park for more than four years.
People have also been finding human waste deposits around the nearby Whitehorse Horticulture Centre and in surrounding streets.
Isobel Leaman even caught a man and woman in the act as she walked her dogs one morning in February.
She said the pair, who she described as in their mid-50s and of Asian appearance, squatted in Davy Lane Park, produced toilet paper from a bag, and used it before discarding it on the grass.

Ms Leaman said she was verbally abused when she protested their actions, with the man yelling, “we do what we want here”.
Andrew, who has been walking his dogs at the park every day for years, is fed up with his pets ending up covered in the human faeces.
He has been living in Forest Hill for almost 18 years and is thinking about relocating to escape the poo behaviour.
“I’m considering moving away from the area,” he said.
“It’s happening all around.”
“These pigs don’t even cover (the poo). They just leave dirty toilet paper to blow across the park where kids play.”
He said he wanted it to be clear he was not being racist.
He said his flyers reflected the community, particularly since Ms Leaman had observed the Chinese couple defecating in the park.
Andrew has repeatedly reached out to Whitehorse Council for help with the issue, but as public defecation is an offence, it is a Victoria Police matter.
Councillor Raylene Carr said if perpetrators were caught in the act she “would advocate for severe penalties, not just a slap on the wrist”.
“It is totally beyond my comprehension why they would choose to defecate in a public area,” she said.
“Unfortunate background? Not knowing any different? Not sure, but we need to try and find out why and educate them on acceptable social behaviour.”
In March, Forest Hill police Acting Sergeant Sloane Willing said he would get more police to patrol the park to discourage the “ridiculous” behaviour.
“If there are any sightings, people should contact police so we can come down and investigate,” Sgt Willing said.
The issue continues as piles of human waste have been repeatedly found dumped nearby in Mitcham parks.
