Mr Falaschi said he and his wife loved the eastern suburbs, having lived in Forest Hill for seven years, but felt there weren’t enough cuisine options.

He said they wanted to bring high-quality food to the area, so people didn’t have to travel to the city for it.
Hailing from Rome, Mr Falaschi is well-versed in Roman cuisine, and has worked as head chef in a collection of restaurants in both Italy and Melbourne over the past decade.
He left his job as head pizza chef at Carlton’s Stomping Ground Brewery Co to open the business closer to home.
He is known for his traditional Roman-style pizza, which he makes using his own recipes and stonemill flour imported from Italy.
The menu offers all vegetarian pizzas and the option to add meats.
To go with it, Pizzeria Romano offers a range of local and Italian craft beers and wines.
