Burwood Brickworks will host online tutorials in children’s cooking, yoga, pilates and dog training in a bid to stay connected with the community.
The centre opened last December with plenty of excitement about a rooftop farm, in-house restaurant and bar, and plenty of exciting new retailers.
But just four months later the building, which has been described as “so green it’s a living building”, is resembling a ghost town as coronavirus lockdown measures take full effect.
Centre manager Eric Park said online tutorials hosted by Burwood Brickworks retailers were the perfect way to connect with people.
“We always want Burwood Brickworks to offer a fun and engaging experience. Right now, this means taking that experience to people in new and different ways,” Mr Park said.
“These workshops are a great way for all of us, including our retailers, to stay connected to the community we serve and when this is all over, we can’t wait to welcome everyone back.”
The sessions for young foodies are streaming on Tuesdays at 2pm and Saturdays at 10am.
Pilates and yoga classes will stream on Wednesdays at 10.30am and Sundays at 12.30pm respectively.
