The coronavirus outbreak isn’t stopping Girl Guides and their leaders from staying connected and showing off their skills.
Girl Guides Victoria has launched a virtual program, Guiding In Your Pocket, for young girls to continue to learn valuable life skills and stay connected.
It includes a weekly online TV series, GGTV, featuring content produced by the Doncaster East Girl Guides.
It also includes hub for guides, leaders and their friends to connect and share ideas, activities and challenges.
Doncaster East Girl Guides unit leader Louise McPhee said working on the online show had been a fun way for the group to stay occupied while at home.
“Each episode contains all types of exciting activities, from creating tracking signs, to making musical instruments and rockets,” she said.
“We hope that these activities will create moments of entertainment and learning during this period of social distancing.”
