Shoppers in Melbourne’s southeast will soon have more choice on where to grab their groceries with a major chain opening a new store, creating more than 100 new jobs.

Coles is set to open a new store in Melbourne’s southeast, creating more than 100 new jobs.
The supermarket giant will open a new store, including a Liquorland, at the Chadstone Homemaker Centre on Warrigal Rd, next to Officeworks, JB Hi-Fi, Chemist Warehouse and Harvey Norman.
A Coles spokesperson said the new state-of-the-art Coles, scheduled to open in the coming months, would create 120 new local retail jobs, as well as offer more choice, great value and an enhanced shopping experience for residents in Chadstone.
The Harvey Norman store at the precinct is currently undergoing an upgrade, while the former Hog’s Breath Cafe remains empty and is up for lease.
The current closest Coles stores in the area are at Chadstone shopping centre, Oakleigh Central and Pinewood Shopping Village.
There is a Woolworths store nearby on Warrigal Rd.
