The largest Asian buffet restaurant in Melbourne has reopened its doors.

China Bar Signature Restaurant in Burwood East, which closed last year, is welcoming back customers.

Whitehorse Leader reported last November the prominent corner site was up for lease.

A sign on the front door of the restaurant said it had been repossessed by the landlord.

But in a Facebook post, China Bar Signature Restaurant announced it was back operating.

“It’s been a while and the struggle is real but we are making it happen,” the post read.

The reopening comes after the closure of several fast-food restaurants in the east, including McDonald’s at Westfield Knox and Hungry Jack’s in Ringwood.

On its website, China Bar Signature Restaurant Burwood describes itself as the largest Asian buffet restaurant in Melbourne.

“We offer you the best of Asian cuisine, prepared by some of the finest chefs from all over Asia, including China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Hong Kong,” it said.

China Bar was contacted for comment.
