Chadstone opens 9 new streetwear retailers in pre-Christmas expansion

Nine new streetwear retailers are opening at Chadstone Shopping Centre this week for the Christmas retail rush, with special freebies on offer for customers during the two-day launch.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any bigger, Chadstone is getting nine more retailers.

Nine new retailers are set to bolster Chadstone Shopping Centre’s street style section in time for Christmas.

The new shopfronts — 100 Squared, Champion, Dr Marten, Huffer, JD Sports, Nudie Jeans Co., Ray-Ban, Herschel and Secret Sneaker Store — will launch from 6-9pm on Friday and Saturday nights.

To celebrate the launches, the centre’s lower ground floor will be transformed into a party atmosphere with free tacos, Bistro Morgan doughnuts and Chadstone gift cards, as well as an over-18s late night bar where students can get a free Colonial Brewery beer, cider or Strangelove soda.

Chadstone commissioned Swedish-born photographer and creative Tintin and international stylist Gadir for a launch campaign inside and outside the centre and online.

The retail giant’s biggest annual shopping period is in the lead-up to Christmas and the Boxing Day sales.

It is the largest shopping centre in Australia, with recorded sales of more than $1.85 billion in the 12 months to September 2017.
