Cadbury is bringing back its popular marble chocolate blocks after a long campaign from chocolate lovers.
The Bring Back Cadbury Marble Facebook page, which began about eight years ago and has more than 24,000 fans, announced the flavour would be back today (April 17), with a statement from Cadbury confirming the classic block, a mix of milk and white chocolate swirl with a hazelnut praline centre, would return.
“We have been absolutely blown away by the amount of love and support you have for one of our classic flavours,” Cadbury wrote.
The Bring Back Cadbury Marble Facebook page posted yesterday: “The King returns tomorrow. I want to thank you all for supporting this page. With all of our combined effort, we have finally have won the war.”
But according to the page today, marble fans might have to wait a little longer with the chocolate blocks yet to arrive at some stores.
“We may have a problem!? Seems like most of the supermarkets are late with deliveries, maybe ring ahead before going or wait a few days … Even at the end they keep us waiting!”
The page’s co-creator Jesse James McElroy, who was based in Sydney, said it may be worth waiting a few days before trying to get your hands on a block due to apparent delays with deliveries due to the coronavirus.

He said he went to one of his local stores and it wasn’t there.
“I think most people messaged saying it wasn’t in their store but some people have found it,” he said.
Mr McElroy has had previous success getting a big international company to bring back a product, also helping to get Golden Gaytime ice cream tubs back on the shelves.
He started to help run the Marble page in 2017 and built up its following, uniting thousands of marble fans by posting regularly and sending Cadbury letters every other day.
“I was Shawshank-Redemption-ing them,” he said.
“Now that I’ve succeeded with this I’ve got to find a new company to annoy.”
A Woolworths spokeswoman said chocolate lovers can expect to see the Marble blocks return to Woolworths shelves over the next week.
“We’re very pleased to be welcoming this old Cadbury favourite back to our stores, as we know many sweet-toothed customers are too,” she said.
A Cadbury spokesman said Cadbury fans could rest assured there’s been no delay in production or the availability of Marble blocks.
“Cadbury Marble is arriving on shelves from today, with national distribution in the coming days,” he said.
“It’s worth noting that it can take time to reach some parts of Australia due to different stock demands and transport times.”
