Burwood: Three seriously injured in four-car crash
Three people, including two in their late 80s, were seriously injured when a man driving an allegedly stolen car caused a four-car crash in Burwood. And the incident came after he had allegedly been involved in another smash just up the road.

Three people were seriously injured when a man driving an allegedly stolen car caused a four-car crash in Burwood.
The 23-year-old Glen Waverley driver had been spotted by police about 11.30am on Monday, June 17 driving along Canterbury Rd, before they lost sight of him.
It is alleged the man then travelled west, on the wrong side of Riversdale Rd, before being involved in a minor collision at the corner of Riversdale Rd and Frank St in Box Hill South.
Police then attended a serious collision at the intersection of Riversdale and Elgar roads, where the man is believed to have driven into three stationary cars.
He allegedly slammed his Subaru into a white VW Polo hatch and a blue Kia sedan, which had been travelling south on Elgar Rd, as well as a parked Holden Captiva.
The occupants of the VW, an 86-year-old Balwyn man, 86-year-old Balwyn woman and a 53-year-old Box Hill South woman were seriously injured in the smash and taken to hospital.
The driver of the Kia, a 68-year-old Camberwell man, was not injured.
The Glen Waverley driver was arrested at the scene and also taken to hospital.

The man has been charged with car theft, failing to stop after an accident, driving in a dangerous manner, reckless conduct causing serious injury and other traffic offences.
He has been remanded to appear in court at a later date.
