A prominent building company’s project manager has been charged by the anti-bikie task force with trafficking class-A drugs.
Blair Bellamy, 33, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday on drug trafficking charges.
Mr Bellamy, who appeared via video link from prison, was accused of trafficking methylamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis and ketamine.
He was also charged by Echo Taskforce detectives for possessing cocaine, cannabis, ketamine, meth and xanax — as well as dealing with proceeds of crime to the tune of $9,000.
His lawyer George Balot told the court the prosecution had made his client a “good offer” and that a resolution was close between the two parties.
“We should be in a position to resolve the matter in one way or another,” Mr Balot said.
According to project management company Bivcorp’s website, Mr Bellamy was a project officer, with an interest in exercise.
“Blair enjoys working out at the gym, boxing and walking his staffordshire terrier – Caesar,” the biography concludes.
Echo is Victoria police’s anti-bikie task force and aimed to bring down illegal activity in the outlaw motorcycle gang world.
Mr Bellamy, who made no application for bail, will next appear in court on March 21.
