Dashcam footage reveals crazy driver failing to give way on Piper St, Yarrawonga

The shocking moment a motorist barrels through a notorious intersection without giving way almost causing a serious accident has been caught on video in the state’s north.

A shocked motorist has released footage of the moment a crazy driver flew through an intersection and failed to give way to him, almost causing a serious accident in the state’s north.

Don Incoll was travelling along Piper St in Yarrawonga when a Nissan Qashqai barrelled through intersection and almost smashed into his vehicle.

“Think you’re supposed to give way there mate. Hume and Piper, on Tuesday,” Mr Incoll shared in a post in a Yarrawonga community Facebook page.

His post received plenty of attention from fellow motorists.

“I’ve seen so many almost accidents here and almost been hit myself walking across the road,” Ashleigh Sandra commented.

“A bit close for comfort,” Pauline Frauenfelder added.

“Some people are so impatient,” Christine Bradbury wrote.

“Wasn’t even looking.. dangerous,” Jannette Duncan said.

“And they wonder why there’s accidents at that intersection, when you’ve got drivers like that,” Kerry Obryan commented.

“I got T-boned at that exact intersection.. and got written off, couldn’t see anyone coz of the cars on the side of the road, dangerous intersection that one,” Brando Smith wrote.

Cheryl Canham added that streets in both Yarrawonga and Mulwala need their lines repainted in order for drivers to see where the intersections were.
