If you’re looking for the best coffee, brunch and pizza spot in the Moorabbin and Mordialloc Chelsea region, look no further than Cucina Dolce.

Owner and local Fred Kerbage has given so much to his community, so it’s no wonder his hungry customers keep voting his business in as the best.

In January the thriving Italian eatery was awarded as the Leader’s most popular cafe and now it’s picked up bragging rights for the area’s top pizza.

It’s easy to understand why — the wood-fired pizzas are to die for.

Mouth-watering meals include the Spanish chorizo with chorizo, tomato, cheese, kalamata olives and charred peppers, and Gambero with garlic marinated tiger prawns, fior di latte cheese, mozzarella, tomato, cracked pepper and chilli and lime juice.

It’s also hard to go past the award-winning prawn linguine with white wine, spinach, chilli and pan fried tiger prawns in lemon butter.

Simply delicious- every pizza, including the Boss with chicken fillet, chilli, mustard, mozzarella, jalapeños, honey and tomato, are cooked with love by Mr Kerbage.

The Nepean Hwy venue features a huge outdoor area, as well as plenty of dine-in room and a function space.

Mr Kerbage told the Leader he had “always” been involved in the hospitality industry, with prized memories including winning the nationwide Pepperjack battle of the steak award back when he owned the La Piazza Allegra restaurant in Elsternwick.

But all the accolades are never at the front of the father of two’s mind, with incredible charity efforts consistently blowing the minds of grateful locals.

“We concentrate on customer service and our repeat customers … we treat everyone as if they are our family,” Mr Kerbage said.

“It’s all about providing top quality food and really giving value to our customers … we always look forward to seeing our regulars come back again and again.”
