Bendigo police are looking for witnesses after a man was bashed by a teenager while walking to his home late at night.

Police are appealing for public help after a Bendigo man was bashed by a teenager while walking home late at night.

The 52-year-old victim was walking along Barnard St in Bendigo about 11pm on February 19, when he was approached by three teenagers, one male and two females, according to Bendigo Police.

The male, who police believe was about 18-years-old, demanded money from the victim before assaulting him.

A Victoria Police spokesman said the incident is thought to have occurred between Old Violet and Honeysuckle St.

“Investigators are keen to speak to the teenagers and anyone who may have witnessed the incident,” the spokesman said.

Any witnesses or anyone with CCTV and dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the Bendigo Police Station at 5448 1300.
