A Kangaroo Flat man has allegedly been busted lurking around kids in Bendigo, allegedly producing and distributing child abuse material.

A Kangaroo Flat man has allegedly been busted lurking around Bendigo kids and making vile abuse material of children.

Phillip Crosley Howie, 60, faced Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with producing and distributing child abuse material at Kangaroo Flat between January and May January this year.

Police allege Phillip Howie lurked around children and produced child abuse material at Kangaroo Flat.

Police also charged Mr Howie with loitering around places frequented by children, including Lansell Square and KMART in Kangaroo flat.

Bendigo sex crime police brought charges against Mr Howie in May, alleging he was producing and distributing the vile abuse material for at least five months.

When a SOCIT detective arrested Mr Howie on May 2 at Kangaroo Flat he allegedly hindered the officer in the execution of her duty.

Mr Howie remains remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance.
