It’s not your grandma’s calendar! Or rather, it is.

A full cast of models who answer to “nan” and “pop” have posed for a hilarious new calendar to raise funds so they can pimp their ride and go on communal outings in style.

The Hepburn House aged care facility at Daylesford has released a 2023 Ageing Disgracefully calendar, showing seniors living it up while playing cards, getting tattooed and flipping the bird at traffic.

Facility manager Dianne Jones said 1200 calendars had been sold and the money raised would go towards raising the seats in the minibus owned by the facility to make it more comfortable for residents to travel.

“They go for picnics to parks, cafes, and plant nurseries,” she said.

“Every six weeks we hold a meeting and residents suggest places they’d like to go and that’s how the destinations are chosen.”

Ms Jones said another 500 calendars had been ordered from the printers and were expected to arrive in February.

“We think we may even be able to get a second bus which would mean more residents could go on the outings,” she said.

The calendar was shot by photographer David White pro bono and represents about a year’s worth of creative work.

“It wasn’t easy with Covid restrictions so we did it in stages whenever we could,” Ms Jones said.

“We came up with the ideas for the pictures and residents were able to put their names on a list if they wanted to take part.”

The Daylesford facility produced a calendar in 2020, in tribute to classic movie scenes, to raise money for bushfires recovery efforts.

It raised $6000.

The Hepburn House calendar is another quirky take on the novelty calendar genre which has also been used to raise money for the Rochester Flood Relief fund.

Men from Echuca disrobed for a light hearted nude calendar to help neighbours recover from the chaos created during the flood.
