A Trafalgar man has died after his car veered off the road and crashed into a tree in West Gippsland.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Bull Swamp Rd in Warragul South just before 6.30am on Monday.
A police spokesperson said the 24-year-old driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
The crash takes the state road toll to 217, compared to 224 lives lost on Victorian roads this time last year.
Police will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
